The Play by Alistair Chong

through the rain misted window i stare
wondering how today will fare
to my heart begin to ignore
deceiving me i've risen from the floor
anaesthetise my mind to my soul
breathe my last as me as cameras roll
from the ugliest pain of reality i segue
blind myself to actuality and begin the play

this plot of mine
has gone so wrong
with ugly lines
and discordant songs
this stage to me
has lost its lights
no glamour to see
in this life

i join in the joyful flurry and fluster
merge from dull and dead into lustre
maintain myself concealing camouflage
participate in the hazy mirage
but i begin to enjoy this act
somehow leaves me for a while intact
this a temporary fix i comprehend
but i'll live this short chapter's end

this plot of mine
has gone so wrong
with ugly lines
and discordant songs
this stage to me
has lost its lights
no glamour to see
in this life

was this my story
meant to turn so awry
cruelest twists and turns
my very soul it churns
but i just follow on
pursue tomorrow's song
pray that the next act turns out to be
a story of the better part of me

Hey Stair, great to see you on blogspot! :)

Sadly we don't even have internet at our house yet...*sigh...so I'm commenting on your blog with a school computer...though I shouldn't be...LOL Just hope I won't get caught....

Anyway school is good...I mean, it's starting to get good. The first few days I had no friends and there was loads of holiday homework to catch up. But now things are fine.

I like your poem/song..it's really good. And that 'about me' you wrote about yourself...woah...

Lol I mean I hardly ever let the world see that side of me either :P I don't have time to blog (don't have internet anyway = =) but we'll be getting internet soon (hopefully) so you'll see me more often in a few weeks time (hopefully) x)

Cheers,
Maria
