beyond repair by Alistair Chong
Hurricanes twist my fragile mind
Ripping my heart through waking nights
Leaving the barren heath behind.
Let me rebuild for the wake of tomorrow.
Tomorrow warring demons burn me down
Inside the half built sanctuary,
Leaving no sincerity for the broken child
Cowering in the corner pleading for inexistant mercy.
Burning to ash, shattered and scattered upon the wind
I pick myself up again
Walk for miles to find just one piece
Begin to build and wait for the storm tomorrow.
I'm less than half the man yesterday.
"Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart is just going to cave in."
