the 24 last hours
before freedom is gone
hardly took a chance to make the most
of what i had going on
and now a heavy sigh
tomorrow breaks my head space
back to the same old dry
prison windows, same old place
serving sentence for a term again
before breaking my mind
seeing how far sanity bends
under oil far gone past midnight
oh God.
